Our congregation is made up of teachers, machinists, linemen, architects, postmen, bus drivers, construction workers, farmers, salespeople, bankers, beauticians, retail workers, accountants, computer technicians, video programmers, web designers, cooks, pavement installers, golfers, college students, athletic trainers, office workers, coaches, moms working at home, daycare workers, kids, and many other common occupations.

We believe in community and discipleship. Our focus is on the pursuit of God’s word and implementing it in our lives. We welcome you to come and experience what God is doing in our church!

We are so excited for the changes happening in our church! We are most excited about the changes happening in the hearts of people who have been touched by the love of Jesus, but we are also excited about some new things that are taking place.

One of those new things is the remodeling of our welcome/ …

Our Mission & Vision

Our mission statement can be simply stated in three words: teach, love, and serve. It is our goal to teach and preach the Gospel message, to learn to love God and each other more and more each day, and to continue to offer our lives in service to the Kingdom.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ. (Colossians 1:28-29) If you need someone to pray with you or for you, you are more than welcome to contact any of us.

Joel Harney

Lead Minister

As the primary teaching pastor, Pastor Joel has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. He has served at Crossroads Christian Church for three years. He joined the staff in 2011 as the Worship Minister and accepted the position of Senior Minister in August 2013. He graduated Ozark Christian College in May 2014. Joel is passionate about people knowing the Word of God and “putting it into practice”. He and his wife Bayli were married in July 2013. Joel loves to play basketball and watch sports especially college basketball and football. His favorite TV shows are: The Office, Parks and Rec, 24, and Sportscenter (duh!). Joel is always available to listen and do what he can to help. Joel can be reached via email at

Dylan Austin

Worship Minister

362Dylan is a current Ozark student pursuing degrees in Worship and Church Music. He has a passion for loving people and leading our congregation to the throne through praise and worship. Born in California, Dylan has experienced quite a journey before coming to the Mid West and has served on many praise teams along the way in places such as Idaho, Utah, Missouri, Oklahoma, and more. Dylan loves talking about the latest guitar gear and spending time with friends. If you have a heart for worship leading through music or technology and are interested in serving with a praise team community, Dylan’s the guy to talk to! Dylan can be reached via email at

Morgan French

Children’s Minister

Morgan also comes to us from Ozark where she is pursuing her degree in Children’s ministry. She has been a pastor’s kid all her life and has learned a lot about what it means to serve the Kingdom and church! Morgan and her husband, Cameron French, were married in August 2014. We love having Morgan on our team because of her hard work and her creativity. We trust that your kids will be in great hands in our children’s ministry programs that Morgan has designed. We are in the process of a children’s facility remodel and we are thankful to have Morgan to be in charge of that process! Her passion for kids and the Bible makes Morgan a perfect fit for us and we are blessed to have her here on staff! Morgan can be reached via email at

Cameron Woodring

Youth Minister

Cameron grew up with his family right around the corner in Fort Scott, Kansas. He played basketball all growing up as well as his first two years in college, loves hanging out with friends and just living adventures! Cameron is a student at Ozark Christian College where he is studying Student Ministry. Why youth ministry? Raised in the church by God-fearing parents, a youth minister poured into him and challenged him to really know what it means to live as a follower of Christ and to actually do it. He wants to do the same for your students now. He sees Jr. High and Sr. High students who want to know that they are loved, who want to know that they belong and deep down want to know they have a purpose in life. He wants each of them to know that those are all fulfilled in Christ!  Being a follower of Christ is not boring, its actually a joyous adventure every day. Contact him anytime and he would love to meet you and your student! Cameron can be reached via email at

How do I get involved?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Crossroads Christian Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Crossroads members are involved in a variety of ministries from small groups and classes to service areas like things as simple as cleaning the facility, to preparing the church bulletins. We hope you find a place to jump in and serve!

Life Groups

Crossroads is full of vibrant small groups who are passionate about pursuing God’s word and putting it into practice. We believe that Life Groups at Crossroads accomplish these three purposes:

1. Growing together in community.

2. Diving deeper into God’s word.

3. Creating accountability and support.

We know that we do life best when we do it together. We were created to live in community and we believe a Life Group will bless your life tremendously. If you would like to be involved in one of our Life Groups contact Joel at

David’s Class

David Anderson leads a Sunday morning and Wednesday night class that meets to discuss Biblical concepts and topics. Many of our “more mature” folks attend his classes each week and thoroughly enjoy their time together in community! Come on Sunday at 9 or Wednesday at 7 to share in this time of growth.

Young Adult Sunday School

Chris Swartz leads a Sunday morning class focusing on Biblical concepts and topics. Many parents and Young adults ranging in age from 20-40 spend time in fellowship each week. Come Sunday at 9 to share in this time of community and teaching!

Crossroads Praise & Worship

We love our time together in worship. Music plays such an incredible role in our lives. Its ability to move us and to allow us to express our praise is one of our key focuses on Sundays. If you are a musician or vocalist, if you have a passion for the creative arts, or if you are more tech inclined and would like to help in some capacity with the behind the scenes aspects of worship please contact Dylan at

Prayer Warriors

Prayer is such an incredible tool. At Crossroads we believe that often the most effective thing we can do is go before the father in prayer on behalf of those who are sick or in need of support. If you would like to join the “prayer chain” email group send Bonnie an email at

Crossroads Kids!

Crossroads has a growing an exciting children’s ministry. We are excited about the expansion and growth of our volunteer base and facilities as well as the number of kids involved each week. We always need more hands on deck! You don’t have to teach to serve! If teaching Bible stories isn’t your thing, no worries! Morgan has crafted a system that allows anyone to step in and serve! If you are interested in serving in Crossroad’s Kids contact Morgan at

We are always in need of great youth coaches. From Wednesday nights to summer trips we need more adults who are excited about discipling students to be involved! If you would like to get involved with Crossroads Student Ministries contact Cameron at

Wednesday Nights

Each Wednesday evening from 7-8.30 our Jr. High and High School students meet to have fun together, encourage each other, come face to face with Jesus in a real way, and be challenged to live and love more like Him throughout the week. No matter what you have done, where you are now or even what has been done to you–we would love to have you as a part of this Family!

Sunday Mornings

Every Sunday morning at 9, the Jr. High and High School will meet together upstairs. After grabbing some donuts, we will separate into gender groups where we will discuss how we can, and challenge each other to, live and love like Jesus throughout the week in a deeper and more forward way than we do on Wednesday nights. This is for students who don’t just want to know Jesus more, but are desiring to become a disciple as He has called us to. We would love to see you there!
Sunday morning service for the whole church begins at 10!
